7/1/2010 · I just found two monitor’s settings called Voltage Swings and PreEmphasis. What are those two settings supposed to do? I play at 1080p144hz w/ a DisplayPort cable, my second monitor is a 1080p72hz panel w/ an HDMI but only the 144hz monitor has those two settings, so I’m wondering if it’s just a DisplayPort thing and if I can get some sort of pixel response/signal.
Is there any longterm damage for using voltage swing and pre-emphasis at (2)? I have RX580 and 144hz monitor, while setting the slider of both settings to (2) my stuttering was greatly reduced, however, I have yet to find is having these two on.
